Floral Friday

Today is my first day living in Portland, Oregon.  My lovely friends Rob and Betsy have graciously opened their home to me while I am studying floral design down here.  I really love Portland, and I am excited to explore the city and get to know it better.  Rob and Betsy have a beautiful and lush back yard that is so lively right now.  Their apple and pear trees are blooming, and the ground is scattered with grape hyacinths, narcissus, and tulips.  It is gorgeous!

I couldn't help but gather a few tree blossoms to add to this bouquet.  Every season has very distinct and beautiful flowers that are unique to that time of year.  Adding these seasonal elements to a bouquet or arrangement makes it that more special and memorable.  This is definitely a happy and fresh spring bouquet.
